New Shoes

Yesterday we were at the MOA to find a new pair of shoes for Maya. We walked about the entire mall before she finally found a pair she liked. Zaheeda and I were exhausted, Annah fell asleep but Maya was happy. She's growing more and more particular with age.

Skiing

Maya's 6th grade class is taking a day off from the classroom and hitting the slopes. We have perfect weather in MN for skiing today and Maya is planning on a good time.

Lego League Tournament

Yesterday after month long delay due to snow Maya's Lego League finally got to have their tournament. Although they didn't move on to the state tournament they still did a fine job, had fun and learned a lot. Not bad for their first try.

Strange news from Sweden

It's been awhile since we've posted Strange News from Sweden. As some of you may know Maya is about 1/8th Swedish so she shares some common ancestry with these bizarre blue eyed creatures. Sled Ride

Maya is no longer a little girl but she still likes to ride in the sled. Tonight I went for a walk with the girls - Maya and I walking and Annah in the sled. In short time however Maya ended up in the sled too and that made for some pretty tough pulling on my part.

Camera

For Christmas Zaheeda got me a new camera so I gave my old one to Maya. After emptying the pictures of her camera this morning it seems she spends a lot of time photographing herself.
